Marine Air Conditioners offer cycle and central air conditioning for different applications. These are of two types; central and self contained.


Marine Air Conditioners - Central Air Conditioners

These are used on vessels which are in the range of 45 to 75 feet and are extremely quiet machines. These condensing units are available in capacities ranging from 6,000 to 60,000 BTU and are hermetically sealed to reduce current being drawn. Space is saved to a large extent due to its symmetrical design, which also offers installation flexibility. The system is protected from variances in load by a combination of switches and valves. The models available are:

1. CS*6K This model comes with three different options which work on 115 Volts, 208-230 Volts and 220-240 Volts. They weigh 56 pounds and use R22 as refrigerant.

2. CS*9K This model also comes with three options to take care of both 50 and 60 hertz operations. The full load ranges from 3.2 to 6.4 amperes and maximum circuit breaker ranges from 10 to 20 amperes.

3. CS*12K These models come with dimensions of 15.2 inches by 13.13 inches by 13.13 inches and weigh 66 pounds. They have a cooling capacity of 12,000 BTU per hour and use R22 as refrigerant.

4. CS*16K This is the most powerful model among the smaller systems and comes with a cooling capacity of 16,000 BTU per hour. It weighs 66 pounds and uses R22 as refrigerant.

Some of the other models available are CS*24K, CS*30K, CS*36K, CS*48K and CS*60K.


Marine Air Conditioners - Self Contained Systems

This series is ideal for 20 to 50 foot boats and boast lower power usage, lighter weight, quieter operation and better reliability. The models available are:

1. Vector Compact It features an extremely compact design, which goes a long way in saving space on boats. These come in the range of 5,000 to 18,000 BTU. The most powerful machine in this range is the new VC*18K/1-HV model, which is available in 115 Volts, 208-230 Volts / 60 Hertz and 220-240 volts / 50 hertz options. Other models available are VC*5K/2, VC*7K/2, VC*10K/2, VC*12K/2, VC*16K/2 and VC*24K/1(4). It was earlier know as Vector Rotary but was modified and renamed in 1998.

2. Cabin Mate This range comes with a unique footprint with a V shaped base pan, electrical box and fixed blower. These are ideal for boats ranging from 25 to 40 feet. The models included are L-2280 and L-2314.

3. Cool Mate This small option is ideal for boats of up to 25 feet. It boasts a low weight and draws very less current. Its 5K unit can easily run on an inverter. All the units are tested extensively prior to shipping and come with a complete installation kit. The various models included in this series are CLM5KC/2, CLM5KCZ50/2, CLM10KC/2, CLM12KC/2 and CLM16KC/2.
